Notre-Dame de la Dreche 3/3/09

Jess, Val, & I, it was quite windy.

Tim and Gerry on ground level. They didn't walk up the 300 steps.

Eric and I with the awesome scenery in the background.

All 13 of us at the top!
View from the top of the tower.

Top of the tower, Colin, Eric, and can't see the other 2 to know who they are.
Colin trying to fly or do the Titanic pose...

Val looking out one of the windows along the step stairway.

Tim even took part in drawing/spelling with the rocks.
This is a view on ground level.
Valerie is working on spelling out her name in rocks so when she goes to the top she can see it from the tower.
The tower was huge! and took forever to climb up to the top. Kind of dangerous too, because the steps were just carved rock and there was no lighting other than natural light. Some spots were pitch black. I counted the step but that was so long ago I don't remember how many. (I'm writing this post 3/11/09) I think it was 300 steps.

Us arriving and Colin looks so thrilled. It is now like a public park.
Here is an out look castle built for the protections of Albi, France. During the crusades Albi was known for the Albigensian. They were crusaders. This is what left of the tower. It was really cool.
